A registration evening will be held on Wednesday, 25th March, from 8:00-9:00pm in the clubhouse. It is important that all players’ registration is received by this date, otherwise we cannot guarantee that their registration will be completed by the 31st March. Member’s whose registration is not completed on the GAA system by 31st March 2015, will not be eligible to train or play from 1st April 2015.

Health and Wellbeing: As part of the GAA’s Health and Wellbeing initiative St. Dominics has formed a committee under the direction of the club’s Health and Wellbeing Officer, Tommy Fallon. The group held a very successful launch night on Thursday night last, March 12th in Culleen Hall Knockcroghery. Emmet Haughian, the GAA’s National Health and Wellbeing Coordinator and Conor Cusack, former Cork hurler and GPA Positive Mental Health Advocate spoke at the event and officially launched the club’s policy. Senior Football: Seniors played St. Croans away last Sunday 22nd March in Enfield. The home side were out of the blocks early and built a good lead. St. Dominics responded well in the second half to close the gap to five points. Final score St. Croans 1-20 St. Dominics 3-9.
Senior Hurling: Training for senior hurling is on Tuesday nights at 8pm. The team has been going well so far this year. The next match is in the Sean Keane Cup versus Athleague in Athleague at 4:30pm on Good Friday, 3rd April.
Camogie: Under 8 and Under 10 indoor training continues in St. John’s Community Centre on Thursday evenings at 6:15pm. All welcome. Congratulations to our Under 14 team who had a great win against Tulsk last Saturday. Four Roads took advantage of having a strong breeze behind them in the first half and secured a number of vital scores. However, a much improved second half for St. Dominic’s saw them outscore Four Roads by 3 points to 2 points. Ladies Football: On St.Patrick’s Day St.Dominics came up against a stronger side in St.Ciarans. St Dominics put in a performance that the ladies can be very proud of. Many thanks to all the girls that travelled home especially for the game and to all the u16 girls that stepped up to the mark with a number of players away. Next game is away to Padraig Pearses. U16s played Boyle on Sunday last, running out comfortable winners. Next game Sunday 29th at home to Padraig Pearses. The County u14s play Mayo next Saturday. Good luck to Aisling Walsh, Aimee O’Connor, Savannah Cassidy, Emma Solid, Chloe McDonnell and Ava Sweeney. The County Intermediate ladies play Fermanagh next Sunday wishing Caroline Dowling & Niamh Watson good luck. Training for our Minor/Junior ladies continues Friday evening 7pm to 8pm.
