Summer Camp. St Dominics will host a GAA Kellogg’s Cúl Camp on the week of Monday 13th to Friday 17th of July. This will be for both hurling and football as well as other fun games and activities. Camogie: U8 and U10 training continues on Thursday evenings at 7pm. Best of luck to both teams who will play in their first blitzes of the year in the coming weeks, U8s on Friday, 22nd, hosted by the Roscommon Gaels and U10s on Friday, May 29th in Oran. Training continues for U12s on Monday evenings at 5.30pm. All are very welcome. U14 training continues on Monday evenings at 7.30pm. Ladies Football: St.Dominic’s GAA Club have teamed up with Fleming’s SuperValu, Roscommon in the ”GAA Kits For Kids Promotion” to help us receive free O’Neill’s training equipment. every time you spend €40 in Fleming’s you will receive a voucher which you can donate to St.Dominic’s Club, using the in store collection box. The U10 ladies plan to play their first match of the year next Saturday, 23rd May, at 10am against St.Brigid’s in Kiltoom. Our u12 ladies played Roscommon Gael’s in round 5 of the championship, last Thursday, and won on a scoreline of 5:1 to 1:1. Well done girls. The u14 ladies football Connacht Championship Final takes place next Sunday. Roscommon are in the A Final against Galway. St. Dominic’s have 6 girls on this panel Aisling Walsh, Aimee O’Connor, Emma Silke, Savannah Cassidy, Ava Sweeny and Chloe McDonnell. The final takes place in Michael Galvey’s pitch, Ballinlough on Sunday 24th May at 4pm, good luck to all involved. Minor Hurling: U14 hurling league: St Dominic 3-6 Roscommon Gaels 2-6. Roscommon Gaels got off on a flying start in Lisnamult with two earlier goals and were playing well up to half time, but Dominics in the second half had the belief that they could win this game and played very well taking long range points plus the backs clearing any amount of ball. Next outing will be against Athleague, Team: S.Kilcline, N.Sweeney, K.Reynolds, R O’Keefe, K.Morris, J.Lohan, D.O’Brien, K.Doyle, S.Creaven, L.Egan, C.McCormack, J.Tieran, G.Grady, M.Byrne, M.Waston.
