Senior Football: Junior A Football Championship: St. Dominics exited the Junior A Football Championship on Saturday last when they lost out to Creggs on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-11. Creggs started very well and raced into a five point lead by the 12th minute. Dominics then settled with four Tomas Gilleran frees and a Mattie Donnelly point levelling matters for a 0-5 to 0-5 half time scoreline. The sides exchanged points early in the second half but the all-important score came in the 35th minute when Creggs raised the green flag followed by a couple of points. Dominics fought bravely and points from Tomas Gilleran, Anthony Kelly and Ronan Morris kept the scoreboard ticking over but Creggs used their experience and held on for victory.
